On Location
“While keeping a few of my couture customers, I became a bit of a Mary Poppins-type character, turning up on my bicycle (invited…) on the doorsteps of flats, houses, villas and even a castle with sewing machine and a boxful of inspiration in tow. For a fee, I could and would attend to all those jobs that had been put off for years, from taking up curtains, to upholstery and creating drapes for four-poster beds. It was, for the most part, great fun and while commissions tended to be London based I also worked in France, Scotland, Ireland and the US. As all my work was for private clients there aren’t really any pictures, but to read some of the press, especially Rory Bremner’s piece, go here.”

Costume Design
A commission from Ballet Ireland to design and make all the costumes for their touring production of Coppelia. Immensely satisfying.
